Day Five: Colorado Springs to Moab

Monday, June 4th, 2007

We originally planned on several fun activities, but cancelled them all. We are getting tired of being in a car with each other and we're anxious to settle somewhere. So, we skipped Rocky Mountain National Park and went straight up through Denver, ate at Wendy's, took a short break in Georgetown to stretch legs and see the mountains, kept driving to Grand Junction, ate at Chipotle, then drove on to Moab. I took a few pictures when we stopped in Georgetown. You can see Jak climbing and throwing rocks. And, of course, everywhere Jak goes, so goes Emma.

We arrived in Moab around 7:30pm. Our Sprint phones can't get anything for a signal here, so we had to wait around for my parents to get back from dinner rather than calling them. It didn't take long. We spent some time visiting and letting Audrey take pictures of everyone. We then went to the pool and let the kids swim. They had a great time. Jak did his backflips and swam back and forth under the water. He's a natural amphibian. Audrey swam back and forth. Emma wanted to make friends with everyone, and spent some time swimming, too. We shared a few stories and all ended up in bed around midnight.
